CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Clothpads
To clean, here are our suggested steps:
- Place on shower floor and add a mild-strength soap or dishsoap onto the surface.
- Scrub the soap across the surface by swiping and making circular strokes with the palm of your hand. Avoid using a brush here as it can be too harsh on the fabric.
- Once you feel it is thoroughly scrubbed, heavily rinse with room temperature water while scrubbing again with the palm of your hand until all the soap is completely out (this may take several rinses, and a good sign of when to stop is when you do not see anymore bubbles or suds).
- To dry, place it on a large towel and cover the pad on both ends. Remember to keep it flat at all times.
Uncoated Glasspads
Tenta-X Uncoated Glasspads: ISSEN, SENTE, Cataclysm
Uncoated glasspads do not undergo any treatment to their surfaces. This means there are no risks of chemicals damaging your pad during cleaning. To clean, here are our suggested methods:
- Alcohol: Spray or drop a small amount of alcohol onto the surface and wipe thoroughly with a dry microfiber cloth. Alternatively, you can use an alcohol wipe and completely dry it off with a microfiber cloth afterward.
- Dish soap/Glass Cleaner: Spray or drop a small amount onto the surface. Then, using warm water, lightly dampen one side of a microfiber cloth and wipe thoroughly across the surface. Use the opposite side of the microfiber cloth to wipe it completely dry.
- Water: Lightly dampen one side of a microfiber cloth with warm water and wipe the surface thoroughly. Use the opposite side of the microfiber cloth to wipe it completely dry.
Make sure liquid does not spill over and contact the edges or base of the pad while doing so. For a guaranteed deep clean, we personally recommend the alcohol method since it will leave nothing behind on the surface. Methods using water can potentially leave residue from the minerals in it.
Uncoated Glasspads
Tenta-X Coated Glasspads: YASHA, Oni's Oath, & Acidity
Coated glasspads undergo a treatment to the top layer that gives them their hydrophobic properties. This means harmful chemicals from soap, glass cleaners, and alcohol may damage the coating. To clean, we suggest the following:
- Water (light cleaning): Lightly dampen one side of a microfiber cloth with warm water and wipe the surface thoroughly. Then, use the opposite side of the microfiber cloth to wipe it completely dry.
- Water (deeper cleaning): Place on shower floor and clean the surface using heavy pressure water to ensure any oils or grime completely come off.
Some may recommend amonia-free glass cleaners, but we want to be cautious and only recommend water to clean our coated glasspads.
